Franklin MWD-1490 Electronic Dictionary and Thesaurus is a fascionating little unit which contains a 300,000 word dictionary with complete definitions, some 500,000 synonyms and antonyms and a Merriam-Webster vocabulary builder and even a punctuation guide. It also features geographical and biographical dictionaries, surprisingly enough - a bonus for this writer and a most interesting sidelight.  There are some 8 reference titles, all in all, with 4-language translator.

Small in size but loaded with information and helpful advice, this cute thing also has 9 games, used for developing vocabulary skills and grammar. As a translater, it freely and accurately moves between English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. The dictionary also features a most accessible and literal vocabulary builder, something any college aged student or even wrioters can appreciate. Other assets not address are: an SAT word list, a punctuation guide, a basic calculator, a clock, and a variety of encyclopedic information. It even enables you to compile your favorite words into customized lists, making word studying much easier. I am impressed and the price is right. This is a pwerful little package.
